We really got to know the meaning of this at the lecture with Richard Chinn from Wolff Olins. A great and inspiring lecture where a lot of information about working with brands and how it is important to see beyond the design. This is a lecture we should have had during our last module Branding & Visuals but i think it will help us just as much in our current module that is about promoting our selves. At least we got some great inspiration. Thank you Richard!

A great lecture today with Saher Sidhom! Got some great inspiration and insights to how we are going to tackle this module. Thank you Saher.

Today we meet our new module leader Isabelle Funck and got introduced to the module we will be working with the next 5 weeks. We are already cheering that is how exited we are. We are sure to hit a couple of walls on the way but we are ready to try this out. We now have two weeks packed with inspiring lectures. We are to start getting our own portfolios out there but also finding a way to promote ourselves as a class and Hyper Island. There is a lot off cool stuff that we can do so this will be fun.
Isabelle also helped us out to get started knowing our personal goals a bit today with a workshop.

Today we had our first day back at the Hyper Island facilities in Karlskrona. We kicked it of with a reflection of the last term before throwing our selves in to new adventures! A bit more rested and a lot of energy is going on in the class!

Now on Monday we had our final presentations in this module. Most of us in the class were really tired and were longing to get to go home and celebrate Christmas. At the presentation we got one of our tougher feedbacks yet, but we were all happy since the feedback we got was straight forward and honest. They looked at us as if we were a company doing the presentation and not students where it is OK to have things messed up. (So now we really got to hear about our failings and use the Hyper Island motto “Learning by failing”) Now most of us have left Karlskrona to celebrate the holidays and also do some indevidual work in our “portfolio time” the self branding module. We will be returning to Karlskrona and a new group module the 10:th! So to my classmates i say: See you then! and to everybody else DM12KNA wishes you a pleasant Christmas and New Year´s eve. hopefully there will be some updates before we all are back in Karlskrona.

Today we had another great day with a non-digital workshop and amazing results. I can garantee that all atending students had a blast with Daniel Diaz the graffiti artist that visited us here in Karlskrona! Even if the weather was cold the creative fires were burning high and the snow turned to beautiful shades of various colors from us spraying our canvases. Once again you can check out our flickr group for results.

We had a great workshop today with Emma and Rebecca from Kollega. A very inspirational workshop where we went back to basics and got to bring out markers and scissors like we did when we were young. Some great stuff was produced and the most important thing was that we all had a blast!
View more pictures and results in our flickr group here. (recomended to take a look)

The snow has now fallen in the beautiful city of Karlskrona. Christmas is coming around the corner. We are in our final modual of the year 2010. And since the winter is here no more bugs at Båtsman and the christmas music is streaming out of the speakers alongside creativity flowing among the students.

These little things are gone…
It was a while since we last posted anything here
